I do give chocolates and other candies as stocking stuffers for the kids at Christmas. I also give chocolates to people on Valentines Day, Easter, and Halloween. I don't think I've given chocolates on any other holidays; well, at least none that I can think of right now.

We have very special holidays and very special things we do. For our Jewish New Year I give place mats that I made and may give gifts of my new calendar that I make for our New Year. For our holiday of Purim we give little gift baskets of goodies inside but not too many because it is close to our holiday of Passover where we have to get rid of the things we cannot eat for that holiday. That is just examples of what we Jews do for some of our holidays or what I do for some of our holidays.

I love chocolates but I do not give them as a gift. I'd rather eat them. I usually give material things as gift and not food. That's what I do.

Sometimes I give chocolate to family members as a gift. But I always give some to my partner! He is a chocolate lover, but he's picky and won't eat it if it has nuts in it.

My Dad likes chocolate. I have bought him that at times and plan on giving him some with his present this year. It is a win-win, if he doesn't like the present I know he will enjoy the chocolate.
