On Thursday at the Millington Central High School in Millington Tennessee, teacher Katherine Watkins who has seven years of experience being a teacher was given the best gift of her life when she received a check for $25,000 from Lowell Milken who is the co-founder and chairman of the Milken Family Foundation gave Watkins a check for $25,000 which is given to 45 school teachers nationwide by the Milken Family Foundation which hands out a huge check for winning the National Educator Award.
Lowell gives out these type of grants to teachers since he knows how difficult the jobs that teachers worldwide do not get paid huge salaries to educate children to become productive citizens.
