Christmas Budget

What do you all do? Create and stick to a budget or just wing it and hope you have enough $ for everyone's gifts. I try to stick to a relative budget but I normally go over when it comes to my kids.

I normally make a list of kids, friends and family members. Then do my Christmas Shopping by batches so I am sure I can afford it.

I tend to work with a budget but I end up going overboard.

I set a budget though sometimes I'd spent more of what I intended to because some unexpected buys came up.
