Internet problem

Hi guys..so I am using another wifi connection as I joined Mylot today. I really had a bad mood since I cannot figure out why I cannot connect to the internet upon using my broadband connection so I decided to connect to my sister's pocket wifi at the moment.
I don't understand. My lappy gets connected to my internet server but shows no connection as I browse into any website. I did all that is supposed to do like reset my router and wait for 30 seconds until it works fine, etc but got no luck in return. All it says is that I have to check my DNS server etc. I can say that I am not really knowing especially more about this stuff so I don't know much about any Internet language. Does anybody in here has encountered the same problem as mine? If so, how did you able to solve the problem? Thanks.

It's most probably on the side of your ISP or internet service provider that is having problems so just give it some time.

@sw8sincere ISP is internet service provider like PLDT, Smart, Globe etc... if the problem is with them then there is not much you can do, if they have customer care or tech support call them up if you can so they can check your connection, if they say it's okay on their part then the problem is on your side. if you are using a cabled one like pldt then you may want to ask a neighbor if you can that shares the same post or box with you, if theirs is also down then its with the company.

What about my ISP? What could be the possible problem behind? Like what are you trying to say? Please explain further my friend so I may understand. Thanks
