Time to Cuddle Up

Hello dear friends! Sigh..... It's good to be home.
Thanksgiving was a huge success and so much fun! I wound up have 12 people for a sit down dinner. My older son was able to give one of our New York City sis-in-laws a ride to our house.
My granddaughter wore her boot, then immediately took it off. Her fractured heel is getting better, enough so that she will appear in her Off Broadway show in sneakers.
My grandson was chosen to be goalie in the championship games. He was so pumped!
Our newlyweds just sold their home. The buyers want to purchase all their furniture, which sounds good to me. Our son refuses to sell their bedroom set.
I haven't been here, because we spent the weekend in New York City at our older son's house. While there, friends of theirs invited him and his wife and two children to the Bahamas in December. They are flying there in their private jet and staying gratis at The Ocean Club for one week. They only have to pay for meals and their flight home. Nice friends!
I feel like doing what Doodles, the cat, is doing right now, but will play catchup with you until I can't anymore. I'm exhausted!

Thank you and LOL! We leave for Florida one week from this Monday. My activities include packing and shipping, a dentist appointment, two doctor appointments, a lunch, a dinner, a mani/pedi, a few visits from our younger son, cleaning and closing the house, making room in my closet and bureau for their clothes, and the worst, returning Doodles to our son. Otherwise, I should be here.

lol I just fell asleep in my recliner, I'm not a bit tired, okay I'm not being completely honest lol Sounds like a wonderful family weekend and yes, that is quite an amazing offer for a getaway.

@DianneN I'm lost, what do I do all the time besides write. Though yesterday I did play catch-up with my writing. I'm back on goal Thanksgiving took a real hit on that with all the time set aside for getting ready for Thanksgiving with my family and my boys.

I'm so pleased that your Thanksgiving meal turned out so nice! There was only Jay and I at our house, but the meal was really good:)
It's good to hear she's able to walk, without that boot on. That's progress! And a goalie? He has all kinds of reasons to be proud of that position!:) I've never heard of a home being sold, with its furniture included. That's great news!
Going to the Bahamas in a private jet? Goodness, that will be a wonderful get away:) Doodle, please move over. Kharla needs a nap, too! LOL

I told you that if you lived closer, you were invited! Happy your Thanksgiving went well, too.
She doesn't wear the boot in the house, but should have worn it when she ran up and down the stairs all day and night! My grandson took goalie lessons and went to goalie camp. He is doing a terrific job for a 7 year old. lol
My grandson is good friends with a boy whose parents have their own jet. His parents own an apartment building in Manhattan. Need I say more? lol
Doodles took a dinner break and is back asleep taking his pre bedtime nap.

@kobesbuddy She just has a big blue boot. No cast, thank goodness. That sawing off would be so dangerous!!!! LOL! Kids!
Dancing on roller skates sounds so difficult, but so cool!!!
Yes, both my grandkids love the ice for some very strange reason. Brrrr!

@DianneN A cast is an inconvenience, for a little girl who has remained so athletic! When my son's friend Steve had a cast on his arm, his friends helped to saw it off! Joann(mom) had a fit about this:(
Your grandson is doing what he enjoys most, praying hockey! My nephew use to dance on roller skates, which he and my sister did together.
Doodle is like Kobe, eat, nap, lounge, eat, relax, nap, then, go to bed for the night A grueling day:(

I wish I could curl up like that cat... or just being able to flop! (I am on call right now. Another half an hour doing this duty then I could call my soul my own!

I'm about to curl up in bed. What are you doing at this hour? Are you a nurse?
My son has lots of friends who live the life. Sometimes he and his family are included. The best was a writer and director who invited them to the Toronto Film Festival. They walked the red carpet, had front row seats, and went to all the festivities. It's not what you know, but who you know. lol

@DianneN Oh no, not a nurse. I gave up that dream when some uni offered me a scholarship for a postgrad course with lots of money (I was greedy OK ). No, some relatives asked me to be ready just in case they needed me to drive them home from some places. I did two trips before replying to you, that was supposed to be the last one.
