Will you pick up and eat the fallen fruit?

As I walked around the mango orchard owned by a neighbor this morning, I noticed a lot of mangos lying on the ground. Well, it's mango season now. Mangos seem to be everywhere. I picked up some of them from the ground. They're still in good condition. I think it's safe to eat them, but not recommended. I will only need to wash them as they might be a little dirty or wildlife probably have touched them. Well, what do you say? Will you pick the fallen fruits up and eat them? The picture is of the fallen mangos I'm talking about.

Yep, we have the same mango fruit in our garden, we pick some fallen ones and check if they are not bruised or anything and eat it when it is ripe

I picked up the good ones only. No bruise or anything. They're still so fresh. I think they just fallen from the tree few minutes before I found them.

Wow! You're so lucky you are able to have those for free. as for me, yes fallen fruits can still be eaten. Only you need to wash them very carefully and clean it well. After all, you are just going to peel its cover so there is no harm to eat it.

Yes if the fruit is good than why not pick it up and eat it. Of course wash it first.

I noticed most of the fallen mangos were still fresh and in good condition. So, I guessed they just fell just some minutes before I found them.

@A_loves_B I guess I do it for sanitary reasons. It is not clean from the ground.

Yes, if it is not rotten I will wash it properly and have it. There is no harm in having it if it is washed properly.
