How do you lift up your partner's spirit?

I don't know if my words of encouragement or my advises affect my husband. He admitted that he is already stressed to his project in his masteral. He's already concluding that he will not be able to submit it on time or he can't defend his project anymore because he's unable to provide the data his adviser is asking. I'm telling him to just submit his papers to his adviser and it's up to her if she'll recommend my husband's work to the panel. I really want to help him in ways I can. I'm not sure if what im saying is beneficial to him or pressuring him more. How do you advise or put encouragement to your partner?

I will probably tell him that he can do better than he think and that there is no harm in trying. He just have to do what he only can and leave the rest to God. "The worst regret in life is not the things that you do but the things that you should have done but you never do."

Unm just be with him, and keep supporting him with your words. I feel you are doing it the right way.

@renicemae Umm may be if you feel so then indirectly show him the path and let him see what you want him to see.

I don`t know if my style of encouragement will be effective I usually don`t say anything to encourage him but I always find time knowing the reasons of his fears and from there I always come up with some ideas to help him out until he realizes how to do it on his own

hmm, i guess the best thing you can do is just spend time with him, support him, even without words. Just help him by cooking his favorite food or preparing him soothing tea?

Does he like coffee? or tea? Give him some massage and make him feel comfortable.
