It takes a lot of work to network across social media with all sorts of people. Especially when they are other reporters, firefighters, law enforcement, government officials, doctors, teachers...
You try your best to cover all your bases. Tonight, I found an interesting notice of an NBC reporter following me. So of course, I followed him back.
Just days ago, I had more law enforcement follow me after retweeting on officers "I am thankful" message for being in remission this Thanksgiving from cancer.
Interesting find tonight.

Some people buy followers but I can honestly say I never went that route. I like knowing I worked hard for the follow.

Yes, I like networking with other reporters. There are a few sports reporters, weather and traffic people, breakibg news. I'm not sure what he falls under though. Gosh, I better find out. I know he covers the DC area.
