Hubby and Little Kids

So when we went Black Friday shopping hubby who has a huge white beard right now wore a Santa Hat. Ohhh the looks he got from the kids. Overheard a few ask the parents if it was Santa. Some of the faces were pure joy to watch. One little girl kept peeking around her mom to look. Later I was asked by a lady if I wasn't embarrassed by my hubby wearing that with being his age. LOL! Nope he has done far far worse at times! He got a note from a guy at work addressed to Dear Santa, the guy asked him to make his supervisor be nice to him! Yes if he gained weight he could play Santa for sure!

The lady who ask you that question has no sense of humor and probably an uptight "not fun to be around with" kind of person. She would be perfect to play the role of Scrooge in Dickens "A Christmas Carol".

He loved doing it, seems as he gets older he is letting go some and just enjoying certain things.

As long as he enjoys wearing the Santa hat why not.

@Ithink My dad dressed up as Santa once for a Christmas gathering with his family. The adults in his family just acted like he was stupid. I love when people try to make the holiday magical for kids. Even if it's just by doing something as simple as donning a Santa hat!

@Srbageldog He had fun, and we had fun watching how others reacted. The best was watching how the kids would look at him!

Such a nice gesture to kids from your husband. (My toddlers used to scream whenever a Santa Clause came close to them. Until this day, I still don't understand why they did so!)

@YrNemo I just know that Tessa when she was like 3 always saw hubby with a beard, when he shaved one night, she lost it!! LOL! Would not go to him for about an hour and that was with him talking to her non stop! It was so funny!

@Ithink Now that you mentioned it, I think it was the chubbiness of those big Santa Clause, the RED color, the white beards, all must have looked a bit threatening to my kids. Their parents are slim, skinny you see. They were fine with Santa Clause by the time they were 5 YO.

Gestures are the most important to convey the real meaning of emotions. Positive gestures are the best thing to happen.
