It is the word that you can never resist to turn around. It is the word that always causes you to respond. It is the word that makes your day happy. It is the word which is the most beautiful to hear. It is the word which makes you feel angry if mispronounced. And it is the word that your parents gave you when you were born. I do not know if you are going to agree with me. But for me, it is my NAME which gets my strongest response.

Unless it is being used to get my attention to do some unpleasant chores. Then I play deaf and dumb.

Like my children. They play dumb if they know that I want them to wash the dishes.

Do you love your name? I think your name is a combination of your parents' name. Am I right?

If somebody mispronounced my name , I sometimes correct it or sometimes just smile at it. .. For the documents, it is very important that our name is spelled correctly. It will become a big problem when we retire and claim our benefits.

@ilocosboy Why CJ? I hope she is using her name in her birth certificate.. My name became a problem to me and I spent a certain amount just to have it corrected.

It is the sweetest if you like your name and if you are proud of it. Because there are some who do not want their name. I am one of them.

It's the word that also can be destructive when it's pointing out to the person they hated.

that's true... and where ever we are, even if we are doing something, if we hear our name, we really turn around and look on the person saying our name.

My feelings and reaction would depend on how my name is called though. At my previous job my boss used to have this intonation when calling my name that made me go "Uh oh please let this be good!".

I have a daughter whose name is always mispelled in Starbucks. Her name is very easy to pronounce but the Starbucks people always write it wrong in her order.
