What do I get myself into?

I don't know what it is but I always end up being a mediator between my friends and their significant others. I should have gotten a degree in psychology instead of writing, whoops! (Just kidding I love writing) but seriously, when did I become a couple's therapist? I should be getting paid with the amount of stuff I have to do for these people. I am currently trying to help out two friends and both don't know how to communicate all too well. Mostly because...one of them is the type of person that throws a fit if they don't get their way which makes it very hard on the other person. They have gotten better over time that I have talked to them because I have known them for like 2 years and I am the only person that will tell them they are being an as*hat. they wanted me to ask their SO to see why they have been avoiding them. And the conversation kind of fell right into my lap, I didn't even have to be like "Heyyy how are you and your SO doing?" It was just like they say, "I have been avoiding them" and I'm like. OH okay, let's ask some questions. So I am trying to be a mediator and fix this situation or at least get a little bit of clarity for both sides. What do I get myself into? I am having that whole, "Don't shoot the messenger" feeling when I get back to the other person...yikes.

I stopped trying to be a mediator, when things turn bad, they both say that you were the one who caused the problem.

I understand you want to help them but maybe it is too much for you to get involved. You need to take care of yourself first.

I don't have any problems with myself right now, so why not help when they ask?

@Courtlynn I totally understand haha sometimes it is way too hard to not help. It is just a bad habit of mine. I've stayed up many nights talking to people who needed help.

I've been in that role before, and I finally decided never to get involved again. Hope they start to figure out their own problems and not involve you so much, or pay you, I'm sure you would be cheaper than a psychiatrist.

I just care too much haha I would feel bad if I just ignore the situation, since I'm like the only level headed person they know.
