Home from the hospital and so far, so good

Five days home, now waiting two weeks to get that wretched kidney stone removed. The stent is still working, praise God. Nothing tastes good so I have to make myself eat a bite or two. Everything's way too salty or too sweet. Even though I gained 15 pounds of fluid weight, I've probably lost actual pounds. Husband got the Christmas tree up and lights on, but grandson will help decorate this weekend. He's playing Joseph in our church float for the parade tomorrow. We're still planning for the family to come here for Christmas, but eveyone will help. There are gonna be some short cuts this year! Just wanted to check in. Hope you all are well and blessed.

Glad the stent is working. This Christmas you can sit back and enjoy it and let everybody do the work.

I guess I'll have to. Have you recovered more from your heart surgery?

It's definitely the most deadly illness I've ever encountered. Survival rate is 50 50. But thank God I did survive!

Just drink lots of fluids and eat when you can. I hope you get better soon and some relief. I was supposed to have surgery this week but it got cancelled as i'm sick with laryngitis

I must have missed the news about your kidney stone. I just read through the comments and saw that you had septic shock. I'm so sorry you're dealing with that! Will you have to have surgery to remove the stone? I am so glad that you seem okay now and that the stent is working. What a thing to deal with, especially during the holiday season! And especially when you're still recovering from your shoulder surgery.

@1creekgirl Will they be breaking it up via ultrasound or will they actually have to go inside you to remove it?

Thanks for the encouragement. I didn't know the infection from septic shock can poison all your internal organs. Than God no sign of any other damage. It's hard not to wonder, "what next?"

Yes, I'm still in physical therapy from the shoulder surgery, although I haven't been able to go back since this kidney infection. Hoping I can go next week so my shoulder won't freeze up.
