Not Sleeping, Not Sure Why

Today is Saturday, a more relaxed day. I am not sure why, but I have not slept well last night. Maybe I did not eat enough last night. Food, and coffee is always a solution. Hubby and I are taking my sister shopping to a big outlet type store as she wants to try on and buy a coat. Maybe I am excited. Maybe not. I usually sleep in the car, but once she is in the car there will be no sleeping, just non stop gossip about her neighbor's daughter's abusive husband etc. etc. So I should have slept while I had the chance here at home. Hubby is snoozing. I have had the television on, trying to let it bore me to sleep. No such luck. So of course to myLot I come. Looking to see who is up on a Saturday morning.

I have actually been sleeping a bit better lately. I'm not sure why although I have stopped drinking coffee at night. Maybe that makes the difference for me.

I am guessing that maybe my meds are upsetting my stomach or something. Makes me feel hungry when actually I am not.

I can have two in the morning and one in the afternoon. If I miss the one in the afternoon I wake up at about 3:30 a.m. with a massive headache.

I know that too much at the wrong time is a disaster. I am thinking something was goofy with how I took my meds last night.

I slept off and on in the car today. Better, but not really ideal.

Coffee keeps me awake - likewise too much food. I usually have a light dinner at 5p.m. - latest 6p.m and that's it for the night.

Thanks. I should. I try not to take as much medicine as I possibly need. I take the antibiotic, of course, but I try to do without some other meds, and I think it can be a problem..

Oh, it was a full Saturday. We took my sister out, and I helped her find the coat she wanted. I also took her on some other errands she needed to do.

I took a great window shopping. I am preparing the things for my friends who will be my guests for this Sunday. I did sleep but I think this is not sufficient to keep me active. After I finish my arrangements I will get into bed.

Shopping can be tiring. I hope you had a nice rest afterwards.

If you are on steroids then that is the problem, when I was on those for 6 days I was not sleeping as much.

@Dena91 @andriaperry I am not on steroids, although I use a steroid nasal spray. It does not seem to affect my sleep. I have been on steroids before, and they are bad for sleep and for diabetes.

maybe when you are sleepy but didn't get that sleep, it past the time, then you will find it difficult to sleep later. It happens to me

That does happen. You pass the threshold and cannot get back.
