well the clothes dryer quit working so i called the repair man to come out to fix it,,,he should be here within the next half hour.years ago i would have fixed it myself, but as some of you know as you get older it is more difficult to do the things you use to take for granted... getting on hands and knees are no longer things i care to do,,,so i will fix the dryer as soon as my helper gets here..then i will tell my wife i took care of getting it fixed///////////////////////////

Our washer broke, Thank the universe I am house sitting So needed to do laundry. Ours needs to be replaced repairs more than a new one. It lasted 20 years and surprisingly made in America. Never will talk crap about Kenmore again. Told my sisters lets just buy another from them but has her sights on a Maytag. I am like how often do you hear a major household appliance made in america lasting 20 years? Hell, maybe they do not sell them anymore and why we have to get a maytag now. lol

Kenmore and Maytag are both good items

You are so right, getting older there are things you cannot do anymore. Stay home to fix the dryers, so you can avoid going out shopping.

I hope it gets fixed for you soon. We don't have a dryer because it broke on us, we hang clothes for now but I can't wait to get another dryer when we can. =)

Mine stopped working a few years ago. My mother tried to fix it, but couldn't. My uncle got a used dented one. It works fine.

We're getting much the same now. Some things are just too difficult for us.

@hostessman I think you get more cunning as you get old. We do a lot of lateral thinking working out how we can get done what we want to do.

I certainly understand what you mean about not being able to get down on hands and knees. I have to ask for help to change the water filter on my refrigerator cause it's at the bottom. Hope the dryer is an easy fix

The old aches and pains kick in doing things we once did easily.
