Today has been less than what I was hoping for. Everything kicked off with the building inspector coming to clear us on the boiler installation. Happily we passed, so that that is all finished with the most recent house project. Then we were off to take care of some tasks that we had been planning on. First stop was a cutlery/cooking shop. I was in cook heaven, and taking in all of the serious cooking tools, like All-Clad cookware and the knife room, which had all these high end knifes. Like Shun and Global. I could have dropped some serious money in there, but I restrained myself, and settle for a new paring knife. I still need to do some more research on a new pastry blender and a set of kitchen shears. Then it was across the Hudson, in thick heavy fog. I found the floss I needed and the chain I need for a chatelaine, then J was off to do his own shopping. The traffic was heavy, and ugly. Tomorrow is meeting with my therapist, and we need to do the grocery shopping. Oh frabulous joy...

I try to avoid shopping as much as possible. Today I will be going to the Dutch store for some delicacies. It's probably the worst day to go...but I don't want to make another trip out of town tomorrow.

We have ice and snow on the ground so I am glad that these days I don't have to go anywhere I can stay home and work on the PC.
