Scads and scads

Canada geese, and more, yet more pouring along the clouds, very like drops of strong black tea, the air caffeinated in wonder, blocks upon block lengths back to back gabbles, such a common parking lot, the morning well brewed.

@andriaperry Yes you are getting what we usually get for weather. Crazy almost October commute this morning but I am NOT complaining. Gray and easy to drive. Sweetness. Stay warm!

I see them leaving here a few days ago...the graveyard beside my place was filled with them.

@Happy2BeMe You live near a graveyard? Some graveyards are lovely. (Thinking of the one in Victoria, B.C.)

I wonder if our geese have left. I haven't seen them in a while. Last year they hung around all winter. It was a mild winter last year. This year, not so much. We're in the middle of a cold snap, so I'm guessing the geese have left for warmer climates. Love your poem.

@just4him You live quite close to the lake, right? Must be beautiful. Thank you.

Our snow is contagious, we have roads that aren't easy to keep on-top of. Our Canadian geese were long gone, quite a while ago.

@sallypup Believe it or not, we are located right in a protected area, on Tawas Bay. Because of what's called 'lake effects', we usually don't get as harsh a winter, as others all the way around us! Our storms are usually milder, that towns even 10-15 miles farther inland. You'd think this would be the complete opposite, wouldn't you? We don't get hard winters here most of the time, but we use to get a lot more snow, years back.
