I was reading about what has been termed, a “one-hit wonder,” in the music business, and came across this word. I had heard the word before, but it was used in a different way. The word is: EPHEMERAL (Pronounced : i FEM r uhl What does it mean? It can mean short-lived, transitory, transient. The sentence read this way. “The country singer was a “one-hit wonder” whose ephemeral career faded soon after it began.”
