There is no stopping Christmas. One thing that makes you feel like its Christmas day already is the song that keep on playing over the radio especially when you are at a mall. As early as September I could hear Christmas song already over the radio. This time, they become regular since Christmas is just days away. I know that I have a lot of things to be thankful for this year but honestly, it has been a very long time that I have not felt Christmas. Good thing is, I am not giving up on the spirit of this Holiday season because I have kids who see things differently. Life becomes different as you grow older and there would be changes that have been taking place that could change your perspective and how you look at every one and all the things around you. I just do not like my kids to see the world in my eyes...

Take a minute and rethink Christmas. Are you simply looking at it as a time that YOU have to spend money to make your children happy? Now, I'm going to ask, do you have a home? I don't. My home burned down two months ago, all that I owned and my animals went in the fire. All I had was the clothes on my back and my purse. Are you healthy? I get up each day in excruciating pain throughout my body. My hands, neck, back, legs, feet, arms, and shoulders...oh and I have asthma and allergies along with pain in my fingers too(that's new). You have children, they love you. My daughter decided that she hates me. I'm not clear on the reasons because she won't communicate them with me. I could sit here during the joyous season and cry my eyes out. I could have a black and bleak outlook. But there is a lot more to "Christmas" than just buying presents and changing perspectives. It's a time to realize that there was one man who saw the world through different eyes. He saw the opportunity to help others no matter how bleak your world seems. He gave his life that we could realize that no matter how deep the pain, how great the loss, there was still plenty to live for and to be thankful for. Don't look at Christmas as a perspective or what might be, look at it as a time to revel in what you have and be thankful for those beautiful children. If you have a few extra dollars, make someone else's Christmas and buy them a few gifts...not for someone who could afford it, but for a poor family. The gifts don't have to be expensive, its the thought and sharing...that's what Christmas is really about, the sharing!!!!!
