I am not supporting my small business man

He's a jeweler and an artist. He has the demeanor of what I call "a biker dude", rough in talk at times, a character. I generally like characters. My hubby does not trust this guy and has been irritated more than once when the man ignored hubby and continued to talk to his buds. All the while, hubby planned to spend money on jewelry if he could get the man's attention. So... the jeweler befriended me on Facebook. I didn't mind so I agreed. Then he began a series of spout offs on Trump. AKA Orange Head. Worse and worse. I just can't abide the stuff that is going down and being egged on by that particular individual. Today I politely told him that I would unfriend him tomorrow. I kept it civil, giving him the respect of being told courteously my actions. He took it to third grade level: Well, I already unfriended you! So nah, nah, nah. I plan to walk by his business from now on. No more spending hard earned cash there. So bye, bye buddy. Glad to know you.

I have had to take a break from several friends for their constant and continual abusive political posts, it gets so very old and it is crass to say the least.

@sallypup I silenced them which you can do and I figured if they ever stop and I can let them live on my feed. Sometimes unfriendly can cause issues and when it is friends or family I just turn them off lol

Small town business people would help their businesses by staying out of politics it often seems. I am sure I wouldn't support his business either.

@paigea You're right. The guy is cutting his business foot off by posting his political beliefs.

@sallypup And how he treated or ignored your husband. Really, the service is often the reason I spend a little more to shop in the small shops.

This is the reason I'm not on FB at all. I can see why you're unfriend this guy. There are plenty of other jewellers.

It's tiring to hear complaining about the government constantly, so I don't blame you.
