When I forgot to take my wallet...

India
December 10, 2017 4:32am CST
Today I reached department store for Sunday shopping without my wallet which contains credit cards, cash and driving license too. I dumped all necessary stuff in trolley and reached to pay counter. Suddenly I realised I have no wallet in my pocket, how bill will be paid? Immediately I contacted my wife at home and explained my situation. She took a taxi and reached store within half an hour. First time I faced such a situation. Thanks God I didn't face traffic police.

It is very common we have to take care while changing our dresses or bags.

This has happened to me already three times when I was in the town centre or at the local farmers' market. I live in a small town which is a good thing. I was a teacher which is even better because many people know me. Each time I've found someone I could borrow money from. I found only people I don't know very well but there was no problem. Obviously, I'm seen as an honourable person. Of course, this is not a way for extremely shy people.

This is the advantage of staying in the small town. If you are teacher then you are famous personality of your city

I have faced this situation in the past many times. Latest was when I reached office without wallet and had to borrow money from colleague for that day.

My office is so close to my office, no matter if I forget taking wallet to office.

It would be very tensed moment. As mostly airports are not close to residents.

I had my wallet fall out of my pocket while sitting in a restaurant once. What a panic I went into when realized it was missing. It would have been so inconvenient to cancel credit cards, get another license, a real pain for sure. Fortunately, the waitress was nice enough to give it to the owner and I was able to get it back with nothing missing. What a relief that was...

Correct, it creates panic if lost credit n debit cards. Getting a new licence is a bid task.

Lucky you didn't forget your phone as well! You realized you didn't have your wallet before it was your turn at the cashier right?
