Well, today I received some very interesting information from my relative on our family. He sent me the names and dates of all the persons in our family who are buried in a cemetery in West Virginia. This list includes my grandparents and great grandparents on my Father’s side. I have actually been to this cemetery when I was younger. He also sent me a photo that I did not have of my GREAT grandmother and two great Uncles. One of the uncles looks so much like one of my sons. It’s really amazing I have been sending him photos and now he is sending me photos. This is very exciting for me. I just wish that I had started on this 20 years ago, when some of these relatives were still alive. This is a photo of my grandmother and my twin aunts. Both my grandmothers had twins and so do I. The babies look so startled. Must be the flash of the camera. That photo was taken about 90+ years ago.

There are twins in our family. My brother and sister are twins and my uncle had twin boys.

How nice. Twins do seem to run in families. Some families, like my husband's have no twins at all. And my family has lots of twins. It's a curious thing.

@IreneVincent you are right about it running in some families and others not at all. On my mothers side my grandmother lost a set of twins before they were born. On my fathers side of the family my uncles wife lost a set of twins but three cousins of mine had twins. I know a guy a little younger then me who has twins. His father had a twin and these little boys are one of 12 sets of twins in their family tree. Also my sisters sons father is a twin and the fathers sister had a set of twins.

Wonderful photo! Geneology is really interesting. How cool all the information you found out. Your right though to bad it wasn't started sooner so you could have gotten more information from older relatives.

Yes, most of my generation is gone, because my Dad was the youngest of his siblings. All of my cousins, on my Dad's side were much older than I am. I counted up all of my cousins on both sides and I have almost 50 FIRST cousins. I have photos of most of them.

@shaggin Yes, me too. I just heard from my relative again today and he said that his younger brother's wife, who lives near me, is ill. I would like to find out where she lives and visit her, or at least send her a card. I've looked in the phone book. I didn't ask him for her address, because I didn't want to put him on the spot. He may not want to give me that information.

This is a very old photo. Nice you are able to keep them for that long time. It's good to remember the past

Yes the photo is faded and has changed colors but the image is still there after many years. Thinking about it, I said at least 90 years old, but it's over 100 years old. My aunts were born in 1915.

They are cute but they look startled. I have photos of them as adults too.
