What a fabulous weekend we had!!! Saturday night we had a party in our lobby and our tree was lit. We sang Oh Christmas Tree, same tune, but with some different words, written by one of our talented residents.
There was plenty of appetizers, food, and desserts, all homemade and free flowing alcohol!
Dr. Jay, our new neighbor was there. He made blush and laugh with his compliments. Love that guy!
We have some new residents and snowbirds. I now have new friends from Boston, one from England, and two from Canada. Of course, I saw all of my usual friends, and have been invited to several parties.
Life is sooo good!
Photo is of Orville the Osprey flying to his palm tree. He yapped all day long. What a big, loud mouth my boy has!

Nice that you participated in the Christmas celebration. I was raised as a Catholic and had all of the sacraments. I went to a Catholic university and would even go to Mass there.
But after fully learning about biology, I just couldn't support any religion any longer. My husband is too lazy to get up on Sunday to go to whatever church he thinks he supports. At this point, I am agnostic. They say that means that "maybe you still believe something is out there". Athiests don't believe in anything. I don't believe in anything when it comes to how we came to be or evolved. I guess i just like to think that there might be something good out there. . . Not even for me. Just for my 15 year old cat who just passed.

I am happy for you for the great moments you have and with that loud mouth around that sure must be making those great moments greater.

@DianneN Actually you will miss if he stops. I miss Preiti's bad behaviour sometimes (lol)

@allknowing Oh, I definitely would. I'm just teasing. However, he does have a huge loud mouth. He's training his son's to fish and yells at them. Ha ha! What a parent!

@DianneN - What a relief that Orville made it through the hurricanes. I'm so glad you are happily getting settled back into your condo. Enjoy your winter!

@DianneN - I'm glad you got out of there before the snow, too! I often wonder what animals think about us. Obviously, Orville is as curious about you as you are about him. The seagulls in Laguna Beach often sit on posts and watch the tourists carefully. I wonder if the constant parade of people are their equivalent of going to the zoo!

Beautiful balmy picture of Orville flying around and I can only imagine how loud he must be. Glad you enjoyed the tree lighting and had a good time

@DianneN WOW!!! That's huge! I've never been to a tree lighting. Just had no opportunity for it. My little town where I grew up didn't have a town tree at Christmas. I don't know if Green Bay does. If they do, I've never heard about a tree lighting ceremony.

A social butterfly is what you are. Seems you thrive on interaction. Live it up! Only got this life to live.
