Should I help or not?

In the previous discussion I mentioned how I’m late for work due to heavy snow (which already is starting to melt). Many cars stopped on the roads causing traffic jams. Roads were very slippery too so cars were driving really slow. I finally got off the bus and started walking to work. Then I saw one of the club members where I work struggling to drive his car uphills. I was late for the aqua aerobics class class but that guy did need assistance. So I thought what to do, let the ladies wait in the pool or help this poor guy? It was the latter. I directed him while he was reversing and had the incoming cars stop until he safely made it to the end of the street. He turned around and drove off. When I arrived the ladies at the aqua aerobics already started exercising. So all turned out well. It might snow again this evening. Would you stop to help or would you rush and try not to be late for work?

I'm glad you stopped to help. I would too.

And I would like someone to stop and help me if I ever needed.

@JudyEv you are right. Times changed. And some cases could be dangerous as you said.

@Madshadi People are less inclined to stop and help others now I think. It can be a bit dangerous. Now that most people have mobile phones they can usually get help more easily. If someone's vehicle has broken down we will often stop to see if we can help.

Same kind of weather here, we expect more snow for the night. You did the right thing to help.

@Madshadi Not all people are like that and you have just proven that you are not like any other people.

That is the right thing to do. Some people might just walk by, or rush to work so they don't get in trouble.

i'm glad you did. the ladies are safe and warm inside the building, anyway. it seems they already know the exercise so they decided to start than waste time waiting.

I hope that this is a rhetorical question.

It was nice for you to help him, and I would have gone to work, but mainly because I would not know how to help. I would probably end up letting him drive through someone's window.

Maybe that's why some just walked by.

Help the person when it is absolutely necessary and if it's not really risk life taking.

I agree. Your own safety first.
