Do you take Collagen supplement?

Last Friday was my last day of knee therapy. My doctor prescribed Collagen supplements to be taken twice a day for my joints. The one prescribed by my orthro was quite expensive than the ones I buy at Healthy Options. But the latter was more of for skin nourishment. It does not contain Glucosamine. I had been taking Collagen power drink (iVi) for one year before I found out that fluid between my knee joints is depleting. I was quite surprised that I have this condition.Mainly because the one that I had been taking was only for the skin. I was unaware that there are three types of Collagen.

Interesting, I didn't know that either. Collagen based products are mostly marketed for skin care here.

Before I also thought that collagen was only for the skin.

There are 3 different types of collagen. The type 1 and 2 are for hair, bones, nails and skin. The type 2 is for joint and cartilage and should be taken before going to bed on an empty stomach.

I have heard there are three types of collagen and I think the brand Youtheory is a complete one, but I'm not sure.

@Iam_jauntyjen Yes I have tried Youtheory 1,2,3 I think hat's what it's called. Fortunately, I didn't buy the whole bottle as it was huge. I was able to get a few capsule only and I didn't like it. At the moment I'm taking another collagen brand that suits me perfectly well.

How has the collagen been working for you? Have you seen any improvement in your knees? I knew Glucosamine was helpful but not Collagen.

I've heard about collagen for the skin. This is something new for me that collagen has 3 types which are also for the joints.
