Homewood Mayor Rich Hofeld has a lot to be thankful for since in his attempt to rescue of his three Black Labrador Retrievers named Annie fell into the a frozen lake at the Izaak Walton Preserve in Homewood Illinois. Since Mayor Hofield did not have his cell phone in his possession to call for help, he took off his jacket and went into the lake to save his per dog. Hofeld was able to save his pet dog Annie and have her return to the shore but the mayor fell into the icy lake. A jogger who witnessed the accident called the authorities to come rescue the mayor. Minutes later a dive team rescued Mayor Holfeld. Hofeld was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Hofeld was released from the hospital on Monday. Hofeld,80, was elected Mayor Of Homewood since 1997. At least in this world there are some good people left that care for a stranger when he or she needs help.

That is true since the mayor had the good luck of having a jogger in the area to save him from drowning.

That is very true since both the mayor and his pet dog are safe and sound.

Oh, thank God there were people who rescued him, from that icy cold lake! And I'm so glad his dog didn't die, either:)

That is very true since it would have a been a tragic event if the dog and the mayor passed away in the lake.

I hate to think what would have happened if that jogger wasn't around.
