Worst Christmas Songs

I guess many of us are listening to our Christmas music about now and playing all of our favorite tunes. As we get into the holiday spirit there are many wonderful songs one can mention as a favorite. Doesn't It seem like eventually every recording artist from all genres puts out a Christmas Album or single this time of year? Which leads me to the following question as you probably guessed from my heading.
What song would you nominate for the worst or most annoying Christmas tune?
Mine would be "Dominick The Donkey (yes and I am Italian). A bit to silly for me, la la la-la la chingedy ching, you get the idea. Anyway, Lou Monte who recorded the song, certainly enjoyed it, as he had many Italian themed novelty hits in his career. Sorry Lou not a fan of this one.

I’d count it because all that song amounted to was a US ripoff of “Do They Know It’s Christmas,” with far sappier lyrics.

The thing about Christmas music isn't so much that you get three dozen Christmas albums a year, but that you get no more than 15 different songs on those three dozen albums. Dear singer/band, we don't need another version of "Jingle Bells"!
Most annoying? "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer."

Right on all counts. Kind of like if ain't broke don't fix it. These record companies must say to the artist, hey you've done everything else, how about doing a Christmas album? Although some artists do come up with new creative takes on Christmas songs. One I really like is by the Eagles, "Please Come Home For Christmas." Also The Pretenders "2000 miles."

Interesting fact on the spelling. I don't think the writers were Italian so perhaps that was the reason?
