More X-mas lights please

Couple of days ago she bought a new box of Christmas lights and it was good because the lantern isn't the only thing lighting up at night.
Unfortunately, the other decoration which is pointed by the arrow and our Tree doesn't have any lights yet.
Though I am reluctant to do so because I don't really feel the need for additional lights. As far as I'm concerned we already have enough decorations as it is.
But I also planned to pay a utility bill since payment center no longer accept the bill.
I wonder if it's necessary to have more decorations and lights? I'm feeling a bit practical now.

There have been instances of fires starting from these lights but I'm sure that's not very likely. Mostly we're rarely here for Christmas.@Letranknight2015 (51532)

@Letranknight2015 I spend much on Christmas decorations but mainly because we've mostly been away for Christmas.

i did not take out our lantern this year because it has so many busted lights. it's several years old now.

Hello @hereandthere My suggestion is probably to buy one that has a quality sticker. This lantern had only one bested light.

I am a scrooge I won't decorate outside my house because I hate wasting electricty. The only Christmas decorations we have that use lights is our tree.

Well @jstory07 , it's not really that bad to have such lights in the tree. I wonder why because we had a christmas lights on the tree last year.
