I had a lovely couple of days down in Wellington over the weekend, the highlight of which was attending the Peter Pan Pantomime.
Before I went I was concerned about how good my seat would be, as I purchased the last remaining seat for the performance I attended and thought it may have been the worst seat in the house. I needn't have been worried at all, the seat was excellent and I enjoyed the entire performance.
The script had been written by two local writers and set in Wellington, our capital city. Most of the slapstick that one finds in pantomimes was based on New Zealand politicians and political references and was both clever and funny.
The audience at the matinee I attended were largely senior citizens and the event was like a huge seniors party. Everyone enjoyed the show and I have decided that if I'm able I'll go down to Wellington for the Christmas pantomime next year. It was a real treat.
If you get the chance to go to a Christmas pantomime, make the most of the opportunity. I'm glad I did.

Where you sit is really important. Some auditoriums have arrangements that if anyone wants to get up the others have to make way as the space between rows is too narrow.
