It is certainly a weird winter out there. Not quite sure what Mother Nature is thinking about this year. I have done soooo much shoveling of snow from the back deck... yes, we all have chosen areas to take care of and already I have been out there 3 times and winter hasn't even hit. Yesterday there was no wind so it was actually pleasant! I didn't even need a hood, but I'm beginning to wonder if we are going to have any problems with creek levels? Snow began at least a month ago and hasn't stopped. If nothing else, it makes for great photographs! But it also doesn't make for going anywhere for Christmas. If you go anywhere, you might not get the car back down the driveway. So, its' best to just stay put. :)

I am glad we live in an area that most of the time if it chooses to Snow, it only lasts a couple of hrs usually, or at most a day or two. Do not miss living in areas where you have to worry about if you can get anywhere.

Sometimes it makes sense just to stay home I guess.

@Hate2Iron That's the problem I guess. Not everyone is able to stay home.

It appears that you need to work hard to remove snow. We do not get any snow here in New Delhi.

@Hate2Iron Now, I envy people who go away to warmer places for a few months.

We had snow the past few days, but not as much as they announced and I am very glad they were wrong.

I hope that you have a milder, less snowy winter this year. It must be gorgeous where you live!

@Hate2Iron The landscape is beautiful here in winter. We had very little snow until now, in the north they had a lot and with freezing temperatures.

Now that doesn't sound promising. The snow and ice you can't do much about but hope that you can kick the cold!

I don't mind the show until it melts, like you mentioned. Just because it becomes so icy and there are then more deadly wrecks. Stupid ice!

Oddly enough I bought my hubby a snow blower last year for Christmas. Since then and now we have hardly had any snow here in the Chicago area. I should have bought him one years ago if I had have known it would keep the snow away lol.
