I was invited to lecture about writing short story in our language. I'm not really good speaking in the crowd and I'm really hoping I done well. I think I'm nervous. It's good there was no violent reaction among the students and older present in the said workshop seminar. There are more or less 80 participants held in one of the university in my province. Few questions where only asked. I was expecting more questions. Whew.

That's great that you gave a lecture. I'm sure it was well received. It can be very nerve-wracking speaking to so many people.

Why were you expecting violent reactions? Was your lecture about politics or religion?

Sometimes I still have that feeling. I guess I'm part of the filipino trait, less confidence.

Something like that. Or standing and talking in loud voice insinuating it has more information about the topic than the lecturer.

Speaking in public can be a challenging thing. I hear from others that say every time they speak they get nervous. But when you are expecting more questions, and only a few are asked it makes you hope you were able to explain everything good so no one is left wondering

Congratulations. You seemed to have done it well! Next time, just think of each of them as a potato, and you should be fine. (I told my kids like that, and they all burst out laughing. They all end up very good in giving talks or presentations to the public! The only problem is, sometimes they confused my advice, and thought their mom was a potato .)
