Today I have pasta with pesto for lunch. The kids love the smell and the taste of basil and pesto takes me back to my childhood, when my grandmother used a stone to grind the basil along with olive oil and garlic. What are you eating today?

Also my grandmother used a stone to grind the basil and the garlic. I still do it manually using a marble mortar and a stone pestle.

we have this many times.I made a batch of pesto in the late fall.That will last me till next Spring. We used to do this stone to grind the basil.We still have it.Enjoy today

Wow, it looks very delicious and tempting.I love pasta very much. I have pasta in white sauce sometimes. Today i am having bread and scrambled eggs and a cup of coffee for breakfast.
