Almost ready to make some jam.

The apricots are almost ripe. Today Leticia made some juice with the first apricots. Probably next week I will have enough to make my Christmas jam. I also have a liter of brandy to make a bottle of apricot brandy. Next week I will be very busy. Besides the cooking, I will have to bake two apricot cakes to take to Claudia´s house for Christmas. Do you make (cook, sew or knit) present for Christmas? Lately I only cook.

I sometimes give self-made jam or chutney as presents. Or I bring photo postcards or paper Christmas stars. All these things are always very welcome.

@JudyEv No offence meant but I doubt that you can make them by only looking at the photo. I should sit beside you and show you how to make them! If you're good with your hands, you can learn to cut them quickly.

I remember you writing about your paper stars Malu. I've kept the instructions and keep promising myself I'll make some one day.

I’m not a fan of canned apricots. Are fresh ones better? I’ve always wanted to make some things with apricot jam.

Absolutely! I don´t much like canned apricots either. The skin is thick and the are a bit too bitter. Fresh ones are sweet.

These apricots look so attractive. I haven't tasted the apricot juice yet. I also haven't tried the apricot jam yet. They all sound very attractive for me.

It's good that you have a lot of apricot recipes if you're having a good crop. I'm afraid I don't do anything special at Christmas.

We love to give jelly away, at Christmas time. This year, it's raspberry jelly. Apricot sounds wonderful!:)

@marguicha We have an over-abundance of raspberries, in August. Some of us make jelly, to keep them from being wasted.

You just made me crave apricots, and I don't think I have ever had one just by itself. I like apricot jam though. And now I'm going to have to get some!
