Busy weekend for me

This one is going to be a whirlwind! It starts tomorrow evening when we head out to PA for my husband's company Christmas party. We will be staying overnight at a hotel there and then coming back home on Saturday morning. We are having friends and family over on Sunday for one of our famous "Sunday Fundays" which is what we call our football parties--lots of good food, drinks, and fun served up from 12:30 pm until whenever the last guest leaves! (usually between 7 and 8 pm) I am not going totally insane with my menu like I normally would due to the fact that I won't be home on Friday night or Saturday morning, but everything I will be making and serving will still be homemade and from scratch of course. People are bringing some appetizers and my mother said she will bring a cake for dessert to celebrate my BFF's birthday which is on Sunday and my husband's upcoming birthday. I always welcome people's contributions! My Saturday work will be to go to the grocery store and to prep as much of the food as I can in advance so Sunday will be as stress-free as possible. The cleaning lady came today and she did a great job on the house, so we will just have to do the a good once-over on the bathrooms and sweep up the floors. I think I will be ready to go back to work on Monday to rest!
