Catholic Night Mass Begins

Philippines
December 14, 2017 9:43pm CST
This morning I went to the church to check the schedule for the next 15 days of night church mass. The first one starts tonight at 8:00 pm and the second one, which is the official is tomorrow at 4:00 pm. But emerging back reluctantly as to being a night owl again I decided to pick the night time. I haven't been attending church mass over the last few months. I envy those who do, I don't know what has happened to me. Shame some one like me who graduated from a Catholic school and used to be a church goer changed over the years. I only hope tonight will be a good start.. Here's the historical reason why we have this tradition. But from I'm told, it stated that farmers couldn't attend the mass the whole so they were given a schedule at night.

Yes, it started last night, and we attended the first literal "Simbang Gabi," or anticipated Mass instead of the usual Dawn Mass. But still churches hold the traditional Dawn Masses.
