There was a pep rally today so the schedule had a double 3rd period for that. I was happy because I don’t have a class 3rd which meant I had a double off-period. No pep rally for me and lots of time to work on paperwork. A couple of other teachers in my hall decided to prank the guy who teaches across from me. He had his room all decorated for Christmas; a tree (a “chemis-tree”), lights everywhere, etc. They removed every speck of Christmas cheer from the room and hung up dozens of pictures of the Grinch all over the place. They covered the board, the walls, they even were hanging from the ceiling. They also had a huge color picture of the Grinch on the classroom door. It was hysterical when he got back from the pep rally and saw what had happened to his room. We were all dying. That’s what happens when bored teachers have too much time on their hands.
