112 is the emergency number in Belgium. But it is also the name of smartphone app. I find the app very helpful. It asks you to fill in your personal, medical and contact information.
In case of emergency, you can quickly dial 112 and they will be able to locate you based on the information you provided and based on the location service on your phone.
In case of emergency, the emergency team will also have access to the medical information provided, which could be vital.
This could save many lives. Do you have quick access to the emergency number on your phone?

No, I'm not sure if that is even available in the US, but it's a great idea. They would know what medical conditions you have upon arrival, right?

The emergency number in North America is 911. I don't have it programmed into my phone. It's too easy to misdial, bum dial....it's easy enough to dial, key in the number.
