Favorite "Heaven" Songs #10 - "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven"

It's time to clear out a couple of music countdowns that have been ready to go for awhile. In this particular case, my favorite songs with "Heaven" in the title. We begin with #10: "Everybody wants to Go to Heaven" by Love and Rockets. From their 1987 album, Earth, Sun, Moon, the acoustic (with some great saxophone play by guitarist by guitarist/vocalist Daniel Ash) "Everybody wants to Go to Heaven" was not a single. In fact, it's kind of buried at the end of that album (track #10.) As much as I love Ash, vocalist/bassist David J, and drummer/keyboardist Kevin Haskins' former band, Bauhaus, one thing that I like about "Everybody wants to Go to Heaven" is that it sounds nothing like that legendary goth band. Very interesting sound. I like his voice a lot--I know this might not be close but it reminded if David Bowie and Iggy Pop had a child and this is it.
