Arizona is called the Grand Canyon state. I've been to the Grand Canyon years ago. I would like to go back again. This time in the summer. We were there in late November. It was freezing cold and the wind was blowing something fierce. We also went to Old Tucson on another trip. It was snowing on our way to Phoenix that day also. I've been to Phoenix several times and to Sedona. One interesting fact. More copper is produced in Arizona than any other state. And the official state neck ware is the bola tie. The original London Bridge was shipped, stone by stone, from England and rebuilt at Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Linda Ronstadt and Lynda Carter were both born in Arizona. Also, Geronimo was born there. What else do you know about Arizona. Please share.

The Phoenix area is home to baseball spring training. Linda Ronstadt is from Tucson. The great character actor Slim PIckens was from Kingman.

Sedona is currently hosting the largest projection light show in the country. We're probably going to drive out to see it tomorrow. It's supposed to be visible from the entire uptown area from what I've been reading. The temperatures have been ridiculous here this year. It's in the mid 60's right now.

I spent a few days visiting Tucson cause my daughter lives there. We toured a very nice botanical garden- loved the butterfly garden. We also visited the zoo and a mission church. 300 years old! I couldn't stand driving in that congested traffic.
