The Food stalls add attraction in the Carnival.

December 16, 2017 7:03pm CST
Along with the games and sports in the Carnival, the schools also have food stalls as eateries. That adds attraction. Students with their coupons can buy food. The food includes dahi vada, chat, fruits, fried rice, luchi choladal, chowmin, etc. The session of the school ends with the carnival.

It loos like a festive occasion! I play music, and we often play at "open markets." It's fun to watch the people go by, and sometimes the merchants give us produce they didn't sell at the end of the day. Parents sent their small children to the "tip jar." It's pretty cute.

As with our schools here before the holiday vacation, children have class parties to exchange gifts and a potluck gathering. Since India's religion is predominantly Hindu, is Christmas also celebrated?

Yes Josefina, Christians are in less numbers but Christmas is celebrated very well in kolkata and India.
