Honestly, I always wake up unintentionally at around 2 or 3 am. I should've got up and do something instead of closing my eyes and back to sleep. I lost my opportunity to do something worthwhile due to my going back to sleep.
Do you get up and do something when you suddenly wake up unintentionally very early in the morning?

I have been waking up around 3am as well. I pray when I do because I feel like it's God wanting me to talk with Him. =)

I usually wake up at 5 am no matter how late I go to sleep. Occasionally I'll be awaken earlier and rather than go back to sleep I might put in writing any thoughts that might be floating around in my half-conscious state of mind. They may come in handy later.

@josie_ I thought you only tried to remember it while half asleep.

I think it's good that you went back to sleep. Many people can't do that, once they're up.

@yanzalong No, never feel disappointed for sleeping. Sleeping is good for you.

@Melanie_Marie That's true but there are things I should do and can only be done early in the morning

It can happen sometimes and it's really hard to get back to sleep by then.

You don't try to get out of the bed to do something?

@yanzalong No, because if I should I know that I would wake up my husband and this is something I do not want to do. He needs to rest.

@yanzalong Yes, usually. Sometimes I get up then or I might stay in bed a bit longer.

So, this happens to almost everyone -- I mean most want to go right back to sleep.

I have a weird sleeping schedule, it isn't even a schedule because it changes all the time, but I go to bed at 2am, wake up at between 4-6am, go back to bed at like noon after I get some work done, sometimes before that if I have nothing to do and then take a 4 hour nap. I don't understand why this happens but my body just hates sleeping haha

Many times I did get back to sleep, which I found myself to be sorry for having done so.

Yes, I have gotten up because I thought of things I needed to write down so went to the computer to write it down. Then I would go back to sleep.
