I am from the northeast of the USA and have been to New York City one New Years Eve. I have always wanted to go to Philadelphia to watch the Mummers Parade. I am looking into options now and hope I will get a chance to go there.
We watch it for hours every New Years Day. I starts early in the morning and goes to late at night. Unfortunately it is not on tv in all areas and since being here in Florida I have not seen it.

@ramapo17 Well, if you do go it should be some treat. Like a misplaced Christmas present you found, lol.

That is the best on a cold night. I went to New York one year and it was fun but the way the world is these days I don't know if I want to take a chance.

I never do new years things. Just sit and watch the countdown on tv and enjoy my relaxation.

@Courtlynn right now I could use one as the house we are staying in is freezing. My girlfriend went to Texas for 2 weeks and we are staying in her house.
