Teenagers crack me up

I gave a quiz today at work. I'm not the world's easiest teacher but I am also very thorough in my instruction. It isn't like I don't go over it in detail, give out the notes, etc. I just have high expectations because I know that the students CAN do it. . . they just don't WANT to. Anyway, back to today's quiz. One of my real characters showed up with one of those prayer candles. It had a picture of Jesus on the front of it and The Lord's Prayer on the back. I cracked up. I told her that she absolutely could NOT light it but she could keep it on her desk during the quiz. Apparently we don't study for quizzes these days. We just bring religious candles and pray.
