What’s your staple Christmas food?

In Japan, KFC fried chicken is synonymous with Christmas. Over the last four decades, KFC has managed to make its finger lickin’ good fried chicken a staple Christmas food on the table of every Japanese home. Many people don’t seem to mind waiting in long lines, weathering the cold winter, just to order a bucket of goodness to carry on the tradition. Thanks to Colonel Sanders and his love for his chicken recipe. But did you know that he started his business venture when he was 65 years old and that he was turned down 1,009 times? What would have happened if he gave up?

Hats off to Col Sanders who started KFC at the ripe age and because of him chicken eaters could enjoy fried chicken and other delicacies. Do not you think that KFC chicken is over priced?

@sol_cee It means that you have plenty of money and you love to enjoy rather than thinking about price of a product.

For what I know In 1930, Colonel Sanders began to serve chicken dishes and other meals such as country ham and steak while he run a Shell service station in 1930, he started the franchising KFC in 1952. Very unusual to have ready made chicken fingers for Christmas.

@sol_cee For Italians surely unusual, spaghetti are an everyday thing, nothing that we would even serve for Christmas.

Really, the Japanese likes KFC fried chicken that much that it has become a staple food for Christmas. I guess, that' their counterpart for our lechon and lechon manok.

@sol_cee All the 4 Christmas parties I attended have lechon. Today, my boss told me to represent her as judge at the Dept. Agrarian Reform Party's presentations and there's lechon again. I only ate little of it because the skin isn't crispy anymore.
