Eight more hours

My husband and I left the 90 degree weather in sunny Florida to surprise my kids and grandson. They don't expect to see us for the holidays. It is a 2 day trip as we stay overnight in North Carolina.
We just left the hotel and it is 38 degrees. I love the cold and all the winter clothes. I am looking forward to enjoying the holidays together

@ramapo17 I am going to Italy to see my mother in the hospital, she had a stroke one month ago and she is now fully paralyzed. This is not my best Christmas, I do not know for how many days she will be with us. My Dad has gone 41 years ago, it's a long time that I miss him.

sounds good, i hope you and the rest of your family will have a great holidays together.
while me and my family are just planning to have gatherings at my parents house within the same town, but what i am excited about is the gift giving part and the food ofcourse.
what are you planning to serve everybody for the holidays?
