My husband and I left the 90 degree weather in sunny Florida to surprise my kids and grandson. They don't expect to see us for the holidays. It is a 2 day trip as we stay overnight in North Carolina. We just left the hotel and it is 38 degrees. I love the cold and all the winter clothes. I am looking forward to enjoying the holidays together What are you doing for the holidays?

@ramapo17 I am going to Italy to see my mother in the hospital, she had a stroke one month ago and she is now fully paralyzed. This is not my best Christmas, I do not know for how many days she will be with us. My Dad has gone 41 years ago, it's a long time that I miss him.

@ramapo17 Mom is 97 (she turned 97 the last 13th in the hospital). She cannot eat or drink anymore, right now she needs a 24/7 nurse assistance, she cannot be moved home. I do not wish her to live as a vegetable in a bed.

@ramapo17 I hope so too though there are some people who would be joining that I don't really like their company.

I love it. My grandson is 17 and won't be around much after he graduates. His older brother is in basic training in the US Navy and we won't have him with us but that is life. They grow up to fast.

The cold is so refreshing. I love seeing rosey cheeks on the kids.
