Favorite "New" Songs #5 - "New Gold Dream"

Huh. It seems as if I've recently used this one. Oh yeah, that's because I have. But it bears repeating, because it's just such a great song. I'm counting down my favorite songs with "new" in the title, and we are at #5: "New Gold Dream" by Simple Minds.
The title track from their 1982 album, New Gold Dream (81-82-83-84), "New Gold Dream" is one smoking hot tune from the Scottish band.
And yet, it was not released as a single. It was, however, featured in the 2008 film, The Informers, and covered by British electronic band Utah Saints.
I've attached a video of a live performance from 1984. I am pretty sure that this is the tour I saw (they opened for the Pretenders.) Watch this energetic video, and imagine that they are the opening band, and it's easy to see why Simple Minds is the only support band I've seen get called out for two encores.
