What is a Feargal Sharkey you ask. Sean Feargal Sharkey was born in Derry, Northern Ireland and lead singer of the punk band the Undertones. They enjoyed some UK hits while remaining unknown in the US. Sharkey went solo. “And a good heart These days is hard to find (A good heart) True love, the lasting kind” “A Good Heart” was written by Maria McKee of Lone Justice and about her relationship with keyboardist Benmont Tench from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. From his self titled album produced by Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), ‘A Good Heart” was Sharkey’s most successful single at US #74. Sharkey left singing and went to the business side of the music industry.

The drummer from The Undertones does his day job in the same place I work, when he isn't travelling the world on Revival Tours...

Thanks for posting this....had to listen to “Teenage Kicks.”
John Peel's favourite ever song and not hard to understand why. Timeless teenage frustration in 2 and a half minutes of raucous pop punk heaven. Play it loud...
