is failure in not succeeding or never trying in the first place?

i suppose some of you got this question to answer before: is it worse to fail at something or never attempt it in the first place? i know some people think the one thing that's worse than failure is never the taking the chance in the first place, but at the same time- if failure is predicted and you don't do it, where's the real fail? also, some chances are better left untaken, i think. where the risk is too big and your value for might you might lose. i remember a poem by Charles Bukowski that says “If you're going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, don't even start. This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives and maybe even your mind. It could mean not eating for three or four days. It could mean freezing on a park bench. It could mean jail. It could mean derision. It could mean mockery--isolation. Isolation is the gift. All the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it. And, you'll do it, despite rejection and the worst odds. And it will be better than anything else you can imagine. If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is.” so, does it basically mean, if you want something bad enough you'll ache until you make it?

Same applies here. If the job is not meant for me including bad treatment from the employer, I will resign and find a better prospect.

Sometimes you have to think a little larger than that. Maybe that work boring and with bad treatment today, will bring you tomorrow to the work of your dreams.

@gaianoor i hope so. I really do. It's kind of what i'm dealing with now. I can't say i like my workplace but it's where i stay because i need the money. And hopefully in the near future i'll be happy to say i do what i find interesting

Maybe sometimes i felt the same, but I`m more afraid of the question "What If?" If something is ilegal i will never try it.

Well some things are legal and still not worth trying. And generally rules are different in many places, but i assume you're right since they're based on few major golden rules that should be kept sacred.
