Christmas Dinner

This year I cooked just about all the dinner yesterday, picked the turkey bones out and put the turkey and ham away in a container. So today I just took out a small amount of turkey and ham for the dinner. I make everything fresh, never store bought except the green beans, those are canned. I will have to show the desserts later, time for me to nap What did you have for Christmas dinner?

@andriaperry We do it that way since family members make the rounds to different homes, and most are pretty darn full after going from house to house. With a buffet, they can eat a little, or a lot.

Why canned green beans? Just a personal preference? We had roasted prime rib, homemade ravioli, roasted vegetables, and warm Italian bread.

No, that is all I had in the stockpile. Deer ate all the fresh ones the past 2 years in the garden. I forgot to buy fresh.

That looks a lovely meal. It's very satisfying to be able to produce so much from your own stores.

It looks tasty and healthy, just the way I like to eat. Since I don't celebrate Christmas, we're going out to a Chinese restaurant with all our Jewish friends for dinner and lots of laughs. Merry Christmas!

Your meal looks delicious! We had a roast turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, squash and dinner rolls. We were all too full to enjoy any dessert, but we did all enjoy a cup of coffee and a cup of tea for my daughter-in-law a little while after supper.
