A Decent Day

I think this is the last day that temperatures will get up around freezing for a while. We shall have bitter dangerous cold on Sunday and Monday. Hubby will try to be home early enough to work on the car.
He thinks the thermostat went out. Last night after work he went to get one. It was too close to dark when he got home to put it in.
Cross your fingers, wish him luck, whatever you think you can do to help him. I surely am not any help.
Because it will turn so cold and windy I may take all my outdoor decor down this afternoon.
Tonight we will take my son and his family, whoever is home, out for supper.
Today it is just me around the house. Staying warm.

I think we are all stuck in the deep freeze. It is easy to stay home today, but by Wednesday I will have to go to work.

@GardenGerty I know. I stayed home today, except to get litter for Wylie. I had no choice. Oh boy!

@KristenH I was stocked up on litter. The cat does not like the food I bought. They have quit making her favorite. We will go out tomorrow, but this makes two full days I have stayed in.

Oh dear that bitter cold is not good Heather..wonder what the temps will get down to.
I pray that hubby can put the thermo in then.

It was -7 F here this morning. We are going to have our mechanic come get the car and put in the thermostat in his heated garage. We have two other cars so it is okay.

I've stayed in all week, trying to keep warm, but I might venture out today. It's only going to get colder and I'm out of bread and low on a few other things.

Staying in is not even very warm. We did go by the store last night, briefly. In general we have plenty of food.

@BarBaraPrz Does the cold make your migraines worse. I know that it gives me headaches but they are not migraines.

@GardenGerty I did manage to go out Friday and get some bread. I was going to go out Saturday, too, but was felled by a migraine that didn't go away until the stores were closed. Sigh.

It was too cold and complicated for hubby to do the thermostat. We have a mechanic who will pick it up and fix it on Tuesday.

Very bitterly cold here too now so I hope you have all the warmth you can get.
I cannot have central heating here so its on with all the layers of clothes I can find and I am then warm enough apart from I move around such a lot.

Our heat is not central heat, but it is gas wall furnaces. I think one needs repair, we will not light it. Hubby has said he cannot get another one to light, but we also have some electric heaters. We are warm enough. Our bed has a heated mattress pad and is always as warm as we want it to be.

@GardenGerty The house is well heated, but the fireplace makes the room more cozy.
