I Spent New Year's Eve in the Hospital

My nephew (my brother's first born child) was rushed to the hospital yesterday. My in-law told me that baby Kyle turned violet yesterday and the milk came out of his nose.
We are all worried because he is just 18 days old.
I thought it was not serious until after the Sunday service my sister-in-law told me that she was shaking because of the injections. I can't imagine the pain our baby suffered.
I took the time to take a nap right before the clock strikes at 12 midnight. I was awaken with the loud noise at the hospital corridor. The doctors and nurses had their share of noise - to welcome 2018.
We had New Year's Eve meal in the hospital too. The mother of my in-law brought something for us.
I am glad the travel was smooth from Manila to Cavite where my nephew was confined. At 3 AM, I had to bid goodbye for work at 7 AM. So I traveled back in Manila.

maybe the infant had aspiration pneumonia?maybe too, the injections were through the infant's intravenous fluids, if he was confined in the hospital, so i think the mother should not be worried at all.

The mother is a nurse. She said she is fine when attending to other people but she is weak when she sees her own baby.

@jobelbojel that is what i thought. yes, we nurses can give our care to other people who are not our relatives, but when a close member of our family gets sick, as if all what we learned are temporarily forgotten by us and we rely on other nurses' management.

@jobelbojel This is not something that would ever happen here, no noise inside a hospital is a very strict rule.

It wasn't a bad start as is but rather a test of faith.

It was really a nerve-racking experience especially if the child or infant's concern. I had also experienced this with my little niece when she was still a baby. The most difficult to deal with since a baby cannot say what they really feel when he or she is sick.

It is indeed. I was also afraid because of the injections.
